Subject: Getting Down in San Jose
Nice show here. Great sound. There is a nice separation to the instruments, and both Chip and Bobby can be heard particularly well.
Love the opening ... Baby Baby. Bobby lays down the foundation nicely from the outset and everyone takes an above average solo. Other highlights for me include a pleasant Catalina, Sun Sun Sun, and Severe Tire Damage. The show seems to rotate around the STD (check out Steve and Bobby start spitting out notes like rain at the 19:00 minute mark or so). The remainder of the show is basically blues, blues, lullaby, blues. While I like all the pieces played to close out the show, I can't say I'm a particular fan of them being performed consecutively like this.
Outstanding sound coupled with some really stand out compositions...5 stars.
